BRIEF BREAK DOWN OF PROCESS
Preliminary questions, research and brief:
When I am approached for commissioned work I will endeavour to ask as many questions to gain and understanding of what type of art piece you are interested in. Firstly I need to understand the scope, context, style, intent and meaning of the art piece. From an aesthetic approach we can talk about the size, colour pallet and what detail will be involved. I will then provide the client with a brief outlining the breakdown of all requirements, methods and processes
Preliminary sketch Design:
A commissioned art work is a collaborative piece between the client and artist so at this stage it is important to understand where the art piece or design is heading, discussion and feedback is important. This is done though presenting the client with preliminary pencil sketches to give an introduction to the intended composition.
Prepare Final Design illustration/artwork:
When the preferred sketch option is chosen, based on the client’s feedback, the final artwork will be prepared. Justin will keep client updated and send through progress images at different stages to see if the illustration/artwotk is meeting the agreed outcome.
Process Drawings:
Through using the medium of water colour and colour pencil the detailed layering brings the art work to life and starts to form the overall composition.
